<p>La tecnologia degli schermi multitouch vi affascina ma vi sembra complessa e costosa? E&#8217; così, soprattutto se aspirate ad avere in casa un multitouch table screen! E se invece fosse possibile costruirne uno&#8230; &#8220;fatto in casa&#8221;?</p>
<p>Bastano una manciata di LED, una lastra trasparente (plexiglass), un videoproiettore, una webcam e il vostro pc&#8230; e naturalmente tanto tempo libero! In questo video viene mostrato dettagliatamente e senza astrazioni tecniche ogni passo per la costruzione del nostro tavolo multitouch screen, e alcune procedure sono veramente interessanti.</p>
<p>Il software utilizzato per il tracking delle dita su questo schermo improvvisato è tbeta, un programma rivoluzionario disponibile gratuitamente per Mac, Windows e Linux!</p>
<p>Il risultato? Davvero impressionante&#8230; non vedo l&#8217;ora di costruirne uno mio! Complimenti al giovane autore di <a title="Greener Busines Show Multitouch Table" href="http://greenerbusinessshow.org/multitouch" target="_blank">questo progetto</a>, anche per il divertentissimo montaggio video.</p>

<p>Questa affascinante modifica aveva già attirato la mia attenzione qualche settimana fa, ma ora che il suo autore ha <a title="Tutorial apple logo hacked lcd display" href="http://edsjunk.net/tutorials.html" target="_blank">rilasciato un tutorial</a> su come realizzarla non potevo fare a meno di parlarne.</p>
<p>Parliamo del logo apple che si illumina dietro lo schermo di ogni macbook, già esteticamente molto gradevole, sostituito in questa mod con un piccolo schermo LCD, collegato al macbook con una usb, per visualizzare qualsivoglia immagine dietro il vostro schermo! Pensate all&#8217;effetto che avrebbe su un macbook di un dj, di fronte a centinaia di spettatori!</p>
<p>Una delle idee più interessanti è di usarlo come output della cam, in modo da far sembrare trasparente il vostro mac!</p>
<p>La realizzazione del progetto non appare TROPPO difficile se non fosse per i suoi costi (sempre che vogliate assumervi la responsabilità di modificare in modo permanente il vostro gioiello apple, annullando la garanzia). Oltre a dovervi procurare una mela trasparente di un vecchio ibook o powerbook (si trovano anche su ebay) il progetto richiede uno <a title="lcd 4.3&quot; su ebay" href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;item=120400512942&amp;ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D120400512942%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&amp;_rdc=1#ht_768wt_935" target="_blank">schermino LCD da 4.3&#8243; usb</a> che, seguendo il consiglio dell&#8217;autore, vi costerà la bellezza di 200$.</p>
<p>A mio parere cercando bene in rete e su ebay si riescono a trovare schermi equivalenti a prezzi molto più bassi, io personalmente ne trovai  uno da 3.5&#8243; ad una trentina di euro circa un mese fa. Oppure potete scegliere di ricavarvelo da qualche cornice lcd o oggetti affini (ebay ne è pieno, soprattutto dalla cina).</p>

Immaginate di allontanarvi dal pc vedendo magicamente ingrandirsi i font delle pagine web che leggevate&#8230;</p>
<p class="product_name">Il progetto, non troppo difficile, combina diverse tecnologie. Primo tra tutti il sensore di distanza <a title="Ultra Range Finder" href="http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=8503" target="_blank">Maxbotix LV-EZ2</a> che trasmette in seriale la distanza dell&#8217;oggetto verso cui lo puntate, fino a 7 metri. Per interfacciarlo al PC niente può aiutarci meglio del caro Arduino e, mettendo insieme <a title="serproxy" href="http://www.lspace.nildram.co.uk/freeware.html" target="_blank">serproxy</a> (che converte dati seriali in traffico web) uno script php e uno script AJAX avrete il risultato del video seguente:</p>

L&#8217;iPod shuffle ora misura 45,2 mm x 7,8 mm (più piccolo di una chiave) ma si lascia dietro i <strong>pulsanti di comando, non più presenti</strong> in questa versione. Una scelta questa che ha fatto discutere l&#8217;intera rete e che non è piaciuta a molti.</p>

<p>Un&#8217;altra importante novità è il text-to-speech (VoiceOver) che permette all&#8217;iPod di informarci sulla canzone che stiamo ascoltando, sullo stato della batteria e sul titolo della playlist. In realtà il text-to-speech non è integrato nello shuffle bensì registrato precedentemente utilizzando iTunes.</p>
<p>Il nuovo piccolo di casa Apple <strong>può essere controllato solo mediante gli auricolari</strong>, con il tastino di controllo che ora è diviso in 3 zone, costringendo così chi lo acquista a non poter utilizzare delle normali cuffie!</p>
<p>Vista la qualità non troppo superlativa delle cuffie auricolari apple originali, di cui sarà fornito lo shuffle, chi non si accontenterà dovrà sborsare 79€ (l&#8217;ipod ne costa 75€).</p>
<p>Ma è già pronto il geek-rimedio per utilizzare il vostro shuffle con qualsiasi cuffia e auricolare. Molto intuitivamente, basta dissaldare le auricolari alla fine del cavo e saldarci le vostre, mantenendo così il tastino di controllo con le vostre cuffie preferite:</p>
